Starling Tan composes music for games, film, animation + other media. With a style described as warm and expressive, she often uses live instruments to enhance her work's emotive potential. Her compositional process involves drawing together different threads to tell a story through instrumentation, melodic motif and tone colour.
A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, she specialises in recording woodwinds (oboe, cor anglais, tin whistle and more), cello, piano and vocals.
